Route 28 and Route 29 Interchange Ramps Nighttime Closures

Weather permitting, the Route 28 (Sully Road/Centreville Road) and Route 29 interchange ramps will have nighttime closures Wednesday night, July 31; Thursday night, Aug. 1 and Sunday night, Aug. 4 through Thursday night, Aug. 8 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night for paving, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs. Ramp traffic will be detoured as follows:

 Northbound Route 28 Ramp to Northbound and Southbound Route 29 (to Fairfax and Gainesville): Northbound Route 28, ramp to Braddock Road (Route 620)/Walney Road (Route 657), westbound Braddock Road, ramp to southbound Route 28 and southbound Route 28 back to the ramps to northbound and southbound Route 29

 Southbound Route 28 Ramp to Northbound Route 29 (to Fairfax): Southbound Route 28 and Machen Road (Route 5401) back to northbound Route 29

 Southbound Route 28 Ramp to Southbound Route 29 (to Gainesville): Southbound Route 28 and Machen Road back to southbound Route 29

 Northbound Route 29 Ramp to Northbound Route 28 (to Dulles Airport): Northbound Route 29 and Old Centreville Road (Route 898) back to northbound Route 28

 Northbound Route 29 Ramp to Southbound Route 28 (to Manassas): Northbound Route 29 and Old Centreville Road back to southbound Route 28

 Southbound Route 29 Ramp to Northbound Route 28 (to Dulles Airport): Southbound Route 29 and Machen Road back to northbound Route 28

 Southbound Route 29 Ramp to Southbound Route 28 (to Manassas): Southbound Route 29 and Machen Road back to southbound Route 28
